DESCRIPTION: APW – Waltham, Vanguard with winding indicator, 23J, 18S, gold-filled OF case with attractive engraving detail, white enamel triple-sunk dial with bold Roman primary hour numerals and Canadian market 13 to 24 hour indications in Arabic numerals, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel, checkerboard center pattern nickel damascene, s#16167747. This example is highlighted by its scarce and very attractive bold Roman numeral Canadian market dial. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good winding indicator function...
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few specks of oxide on larger winding wheel and regulator, scattered micro-fine scratches on plates, some ultra-fine scratch striations to larger winding wheel; dial with outer chapter hl at 12:30; excellent hands, seconds-hand with oxide, wind indicator hand is a bit different shade of blue; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail with only mild reduction at high point of shoulder, few tiny spots of wear to brass on pendant; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
